As an integral part of her community, stimulating the economy in her neighborhood is very important to
her and the home of her “brand”. Chivonne definitely is an epitome of the model “Live, Work, Play”.

My prayer is that when you see/hear me, you see Him through me. My reminder to you is that you can
do ALL (not some or a select few things) through Christ Jesus who strengthens you . . .that the will of
God will never take you will the Grace of God will not keep you . . . See the good in all things, even if you
have to squint to see them. . . View your glass as half full instead of half empty.

Chivonne's Life

Husband, Son & I

Jacolbe & Chivonne married September 26, 2008. They dated for two years prior to that. Shortly after they adopted a handsome little boy, Robert Terrill Fleming. While on vacation in Bermuda in 2018, Jacolbe passed away from what was deemed “dry drowning”. Chivonne spent the remainder of her vacation planning how to get her husband’s remains back to Atlanta, GA.

Car Accident

Chivonne experienced a bad car accident in 2017, a lady ran a red light and t-boned her in an intersection. She underwent multiple surgeries and intense physical therapy to learn to walk again. Chivonne now has a metal plate and pins in her hip. She laid in a bed at Grady Memorial Hospital unable to move and gathering bedsores and it’s God’s grace that has her still here to tell about it.

Grandmother & I

Nanna was the family matriarch. She was very influential in raising Chivonne and introduced their family to religion. It’s because of her that Chivonne knows and loves the Lord. Nanna was born in Bermuda in 1928 and passed away in 2020 while residing in Jonesboro, GA from a sudden Hemorrhaging stroke.

Son & I

It is Chivonne’s distinct pleasure to have her son by her side for this ride. He has experienced so much, 2 years of foster care, being adopted and uprooted to a new family in a different state, having a front row seat to 3 major losses from our family and he still managing to exhibit compassion, strength, and love. It is truly an honor to be his mommy!

Mother

My mommy is the reason that I am the woman I am today. She exuded strength like non other. From coming home and finding her first husband beaten to death in their home to battling multiple cancers and not once ever complaining. Beverly Christie is truly a Shero. Ms. Christie passed away in 2015 from what was initially diagnosed as Colon Rectal Cancer but had eventually spread throughout her body.

Good Grief Tells All About Life's Tribulations

What to expect from my memoir? I share a very vulnerable story about the highs and lows of my life. You’ll be in awe from the experiences that I’ve encountered that will make you say “Good Grief”. You learn how I view life’s tribulation’s through an optimistic lens, which is one of the reasons I chose the title and oxymoron “Good Grief”. I know that you will be inspired and I pray that you are able to take away that if I can make it though so many of life’s expectancies, that no matter what life brings your way, you too can make it.
